Senate refuses to ask why 9 US citizens died in the West Bank

The US Senate has rejected a resolution that would have asked the State Department to produce a report on the deaths of 9 American citizens in the West Bank,  killed by Israeli settlers or Israeli security forces over the past 4 years.

The resolution did not demand action or accountability ,  it only sought a written account from the State Department.

The final vote tally was 47–51.
