South Korea's Foreign Ministry summoned Ukraine's acting ambassador in Seoul on Monday to protest Kyiv's disclosure of information regarding the transfer to South Korea of soldiers from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), troops who had been captured last year during the conflict in Ukraine, Reuters reports.
The ministry expressed its "deep regret" to Andrii Vieshkin over the fact that the leader of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made the disclosure at the United Nations General Assembly, despite a clear agreement with Seoul to keep the matter confidential.
Furthermore, the ministry protested what it termed a "false statement" by Zelenskyy's office, which denied the existence of such a confidentiality pact, and urged Kyiv to take measures to prevent a recurrence.
