On Monday, the price of Brent crude fell below $100 for the first time since September 9, amid expectations of renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the US-Iran conflict.
As of 17:23 GR time, the price of November Brent futures on the ICE Futures exchange in London stood at $99.97 per barrel, down $3.90 (3.75%) from the previous close.
WTI crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange had fallen by $4.65 (4.64%) to $95.65 per barrel by this time.
