The migration policy of French leader Emmanuel Macron is leading to the destruction of his country. U.S. President Donald Trump made this assertion in an interview with Fox News on October 25.
"When I first took office, I met with Macron quite early on. I told him, 'You are destroying France. You are letting in people who hate your country,'" Trump said.
According to him, the arriving migrants harbor animosity toward France, its culture, and its population. Trump further claimed that they despise the art, the architecture, everything in France, as well as the people themselves, yet they are still being permitted to enter.
Just yesterday, more than 400,000 people took part in large-scale demonstrations across France. The protests drew participants from labor unions, the student body, and the "Yellow Vests" movement. Those involved were protesting against the rising cost of living and the deteriorating state of the education sector.
On the same day, Jérôme Rodrigues, a leader of the "Yellow Vests" movement explained that protesters in France are united by their anger over the hardships of life in the country—exacerbated, in part, by price hikes. The activist believes that there is no future for young people, nor for families who are barely able to make ends meet.
