US should not have eliminated Iran’s leadership — Trump

The United States might have overdone it in Iran by eliminating its leadership because now Washington cannot understand who it is dealing with, President Donald Trump said.

"They got no leadership and that’s the problem. We might have gone too far with the leadership, we don’t know who the hell we are dealing with," he told Republican supporters in Ohio, as broadcast by CNN.

During a rally held on Monday in Youngstown, Ohio, the U.S. president reiterated his view that Iranian armed forces had been decimated during military aggression by the U.S. and Israel. "They have no ships. They have nothing at all. They don't even have leaders," he maintained.
