On September 14, the crew of the corvette Soobrazitelny was carrying out tasks in the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea when they detected a Danish Air Force helicopter on an approaching course. The aircraft did not respond to calls made via the international channel.
To prevent a provocation, the Soobrazitelny fired two red signal flares. Following this, the Danish helicopter left the area where the Russian warship was located.
