Donald Tusk announced the creation of a Polish equivalent to the Starlink satellite system

Poland plans to create its own satellite communications system "for the sake of security."

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced at the defense exhibition in Kielce that the country has begun the process of creating its own satellite communications system—a "Polish Starlink."

He stated that the security of Poland and Europe should not depend on the whims of a single individual, and that comprehensive defense is impossible without an independent satellite communications capability.

By the end of the year, Poland is expected to have nine satellites capable of capturing near-real-time imagery of Earth.
