Hurricane Isaias has left at least four people dead, two in Florida and two in Alabama, after making landfall in the United States, local media report.
The deaths in Florida were linked to a falling tree and a man found in a closed garage with a running generator. Meanwhile, in Alabama, another person died when a tree fell onto a home.
The storm made landfall late Friday near Destin, in the Florida Panhandle, as a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 165 km/h, the National Hurricane Center reported. Although it weakened shortly thereafter, it caused flooding, downed trees, and infrastructure damage across the region.
