Colombia withdraws from The Hague Group, alleging that the alliance seeks only to "isolate and attack Israel"

"Colombia has officially requested its withdrawal from the 'Hague Group', a group created to isolate and attack Israel. We reject that approach," stated Foreign Minister Omar Bula.

This alliance was established in 2025 to coordinate actions regarding the war in Gaza and the Palestinian situation.

This decision follows the departures of Bolivia and Honduras; it also comes weeks after Colombia withdrew its intervention in the case against Israel before the International Court of Justice.

The announcement coincides with the normalization of relations between Colombia and Israel, which were restored in August. On October 14, Bula inaugurated his country’s embassy in Jerusalem  alongside Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
