Fatigue with Kyiv: Rubio says Trump is irritated by Ukraine’s stance

US President Donald Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with the Ukrainian leadership’s uncompromising stance regarding a peaceful resolution to the conflict, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated while speaking with journalists.

This was reported by the US news outlets, citing statements from the US Department of State.

According to the head of the State Department, Kyiv’s reluctance to show flexibility regarding territorial realities and the establishment of a line of contact significantly complicates the negotiation process and hinders the development of a framework agreement for a ceasefire.

Rubio emphasized that Washington seeks an end to hostilities as soon as possible and is prepared to utilize any available diplomatic mechanisms; however, the Ukrainian side’s insistence on issuing ultimatums and delaying the agreement on terms to freeze the conflict has drawn open dissatisfaction from the White House.

  1. The Pentagon has made no changes regarding aid to Ukraine, stated Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"Everything we have been doing with Ukraine remains in place. That has not changed. I mean, nothing at all has changed," he told reporters in India, where he is currently on a visit.

He also mentioned a 45-minute conversation he had with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that he had told Rubio of Kyiv’s desire to receive ballistic missile interceptors and an early-warning system from Washington.

  3. Issues regarding U.S. shipments of interceptor missiles to Ukraine may have arisen due to obligations to allies or internal security concerns, according to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

At the same time, he emphasized that this does not amount to a deliberate refusal to provide the supplies.

Rubio also suggested that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth might withhold authorization for the delivery of missiles, already paid for by European nations, due to a need for them "elsewhere."
