Saudi Arabia has restarted operations on its East-West pipeline and could resume exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu this Tuesday, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Drone attacks "originating from Iraq", as claimed by the Kingdom, forced the country to shut down the facility in mid-September.
The pipeline is of strategic importance to Riyadh, as it handles a significant portion of exports that bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi Arabia, one of the world's largest crude oil exporters, has diverted around four million barrels per day through the East-West pipeline to the port of Yanbu.
This volume represents 4% of the global supply.
