The U.S. removes Venezuela from the list of countries failing to combat drug trafficking

 U.S. President Donald Trump highlighted that Caracas has demonstrated "compliance with its drug control commitments."

Furthermore, in a document sent to the U.S. Congress, the president stated that he expects to continue seeing "continued and measurable progress by the Government" in charge of Venezuela, focused on curbing this scourge.

For the past 20 years, the South American nation has been included on this list, which features countries such as Bolivia, Honduras, Jamaica, and Mexico, to name a few.
