During his latest visit to Brussels on Monday, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated the need to secure an additional €69 billion for 2027, over and above the €90 billion in aid already pledged by the EU for 2026–2027.
Such requests are currently being met with a lukewarm reception in Brussels, where preparations are underway to discuss the multi-year budget.
Reports suggest that Europe may once again revisit the issue of using frozen Russian assets.
